Who's Sarahgoodmanword?
As an elementary school teacher, pastry baker, and animation producer, I learned to distill facts and other tasty ingredients into fun. As a freelance writer and editor, I create fun, lasting, useful experiences.
In April 2009, some of these fun experiences became available in print in Ladybug Magazine and in the Fandex Family Field Guide: Bugs. Fandex Bugs is featured on Entertainment Weekly's June 26 "Must List".
In 2007, I self-published a small-run poetry book, Ferry Ride, with co-author, Carol Cartier, and received the Stonecoast Writers Conference Poetry Prize. In 2008, a new poem, "They Call It Moonshine," received honorable mention at the Maine Literary Awards.
I’m always brewing new articles, poems, and children’s stories. If you’d like to read some, please see my samples, or send word.
